Other than this identifying the water air and soil contaminations and observe the impacts on human beings and habitats and provide solutions comparing with government regulations and guidelines.
Environment Monitoring
As a waste management and sustainable guidance company we are responsible to assure the environment conditions in our client’s work places such as cement, steel and rubber processing industries. We observe the dust generating points and do the environment monitoring including particulate matters and fugitive dust measurements to full fill our client’s environments compliance and complete the government regulations. We have ISO14001 accredited laboratories for doing such tastings with sophisticated analysing equipment’s and machines with qualified monitoring and testing team.
Waste Management
The management of rubber wastes is a great challenge due to the huge quantities of scrap tires and rubber goods added every year. This problem exists all over the world. Land filling and stock piling, have undesirable environmental and public health attributes, and waste material resources. Scrap tires provide breading sites for mosquitoes, which can spread diseases. Large tire piles often constitute fire hazards, creating acid smoke and leaving behind a hazardous oily residue. Rubber waste is not biodegradable and was turned to thermosetting on vulcanization due to the presence of the so-called vulcanizing system in rubber mixes. Consequently, it is difficult to recycle rubber waste or reuse it using the general methods used for thermoplastic materials. Resource recovery of tire and rubber waste is very important since we can recover both materials. The present work represents new trends for utilization of rubber wastes.

Firgun Lanka (PVT) Limited is going to fill the gap and invest to develop a world class Waste Tyre, Rubber and Plastic processing plant (Pyrolysis Facility) at Puttalam Industrial Zone. The waste tyre, rubber and plastic pyrolysis facility is designed to accept industrial & some local authority plastic and rubber waste. The facility has been designed to accept tyre and plastic waste from various industries across the country. The development of the facility will explore the potential for deriving value out of industrial waste by recovering material and energy.
